Rosie O’Donnell caved to brat Elisabeth Hasselback on TV’s “The View” and took early retirement as a result of an online fight between the two. Now people are wondering about who would be Rosie’s replacement. I’ve been hearing that they Whoopi Goldberg may be the pick for the show, although it is reported as a rumor. Whoever they decide to put in Rosie’s chair, I want that person to make Ms. Hasselback cower to the point where she’d either keep her mouth shut or quit the show.

It’s a pity I had to find out the hard way via VH1 “Making a Springer Show” that it has been a fake all along. Laugh if you will but I always thought that the stuff on the show was real. And although in the past my friends had told me repeatedly that the whole show was staged, I didn’t believe them. I was in denial. Well then Jerry and the boys sure had me fooled so as a result, I don’t watch them anymore.

I’m so glad that television’s TV Land is showing reruns of “Good Times”. It’s one of my favorite shows for many reasons. I still laugh at some of JJ’s jokes even though I’ve seen the show repeatedly and they show their message is although they are underprivileged, they’ve still got each other and they’ve still got love. Watching Good Times and the Evans in the 17th story building, reminds me of growing up in my own little “projects” which was a 9-story building. Unlike them, we always had stuff to eat and always kept a tidy place even though it was small and the rent was cheap, but we always make time for each other at the family table for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Which goes to show that sometimes the simple pleasures are what counts.

I heard that the cavemen from the Geico commercial are getting their own tv show in the fall of 2007. And as much as I enjoyed the first couple of ads (it started getting boring for me by the third ad installment with the caveman at the therapist), I have to say that this is a failure waiting to happen.

There is a reason why these cavemen were funny to us on these ads and it has to do with the length of the airtime that they got. It was short, sweet we laughed and we moved on. But I can’t fathom half hour with these guys, not when they just don’t seem funny anymore. It would be interesting though to see what kind of storyline the writers come up with. I’ll be sure to definitely stay tuned.

I’m not a fan of “The View” or Rosie O’Donnell by extension, but this young girl on the show by the name of Elizabeth Hasselback disgusts me. Who in the hell is she? Why is she on my TV and why does she have an opinion? Wasn’t she just a contestant on “Survivor?” Recently Hasselback attempted to outdo Rosie in an on-air battle about President Bush which forced Rosie to take an early retirement from the show. And as much of an insult that Rosie is, Hasselback’s behavior was uncalled for, pregnant or not. She should be removed from the show for the simple fact that she comes across immature and uneducated. Hey Hasselback, get off my TV!
