Last weekend I was over at a friend of mine’s house and he has an incredible home theater room. He’s got a $2,000 sound system with home theater seating and all of the bells and whistles. I hope one day I can afford to spend extra money on that sort of stuff. Watching movies on his huge plasma tv is also great. Even regular DVDs played using 1080i up-conversion look super clear.

Many people often think you need to spend lots of money and buy the best in furniture. I usually try to buy nice furniture but don’t necessarily need the best or most expensive. Recently, I was changing my entire furniture and decor in my living room. I decided to shop at some thrift stores, specialty stores and retail stores. The last purchased I needed to make was some TV furniture. I found a store that only sold furniture that I found everything I needed in one store. I was very pleased to also shop during one of the store’s sales. I actually saved more than half of the amount I was planning on spending. When shopping for tv furniture, a person should shop around and compare prices before making their final purchase. I was glad I did.

I’m a huge fan of the television show “Dirt” on FX starring Courtney Cox Arquette. The show recently returned for a second season and I can’t wait to check out the first two episodes that I taped on my DVR. I didn’t even realize that the show was coming back on until I saw the first episode was already recorded on my DVR. I’m going to have to get the first couple of episodes burned from my DVR onto a DVD-R disc and watch them as soon as possible.

The television show Burn Notice on the USA cable network has ended it’s first season. According to the USA network, it will not be returning until Summer of 2008. That seems like quite a break. The season didn’t have that many episodes to begin with, so it seems like they could bring it back after a couple of months. I can’t wait for the show to return, it quickly became one of my favorite shows after seeing only a couple of episodes.

Many people take advantage of the user audience that their blog provides for them. They use their blogs to spread rumors and gossip about everything. From celebrity mishaps to the latest hollywood drama, you can bet that a blogger somewhere is talking about it and putting their own little spin on it right now. Gossip Girl isn’t unlike these bloggers. She uses her blog to gossip about a variety of different topics, ranging from celebrity pet peeves, to the latest he-said she-said rumors amongst her viscious circle of friends.

Gossip Girl on The CW network is a new show that will be premiering on September 19th. The teen drama was created by none other than Josh Schwartz. Some of you might also know him as the creator of the ever-popular show “The O.C.”. The series’ main focus is on the “Gossip Girl” character, which is narrated by Kristen Bell.

As a blogger, the series does sound quite appealing to me. I know the potential of spreading rumors and gossip through blogs. The lives that the rumors can touch while at the same time destroying another. If you havent heard about it, the USA cable network has a new show called Burn Notice. It’s about a spy who gets fired while on a job and his assets and credit are all frozen. He tries to find out who gave the order for the burn notice and does a few jobs along the way. Check it out.

People are talking about Kelly Clarkson and the fact that she practically “let herself go” in terms of how many pounds she has gain. Kelly appeared on the finals of “American Idol” and folks were wondering if she is with child. And while this buxom image of Kelly is still fresh in our minds, Elle magazine had to go put her on the cover looking as if they stuck her head on one of the Olsen twins body. Critics are screaming that it is a Photoshop job, but of course Kelly may dispute it if ever asked about it. That’s Hollywood for you. Superficial as can be.

Food Network’s “The Next Food Network Star” will be returning in June for its third installment. The competition showcases burgeoning cooks and chefs whose skills would be tested in order to win the prize of their own Food Network show. Last year’s winner Guy Fieri was awesome and broke the barriers of the traditional tv host appearance with his bleached out spiked hair, tattoos on his arms and bling bling on his fingers. Food Network was so impressed with Guy and his bubbly personality that they sign him on to two other shows on the network. This year’s winner has got to step up their game in order to keep up with the precedent that Guy has set. Because from what I see of him so far, he’ll be on the network for a long time. He’s that enjoyable to watch.
