It doesn’t seem like Christmas should be here again so soon. Time is really just flying by. I’m starting to make little lists of what gifts I need to buy and who I need to buy them for. There are electronic gifts, sports gifts (sports gifts will probably be the majority, as I have lots of younger boys in the family to buy for), girly gifts and so much more that I need to start buying. Christmas is less than 2 months away. It seems like it just happened a couple of months ago. I just can’t believe how fast time is passing by.

Last week the other managers at my office decided to hold a little raffle giveaway. We gave away a pair of MBT shoes, 2 iPods, an 8gb Creative Zen and a 16gb SDHC card. None of the managers were eligible to enter the contest or I would have had my eyes on the Creative Zen. I need a new portable audio and video player and I’ve read some very nice reviews about the Creative Zen. I checked them out at a local electronics store and really like the screen quality and the overall design of them. I might have to buy myself one for Christmas.

I was trying to find places that offer customizable Visa gift cards online and I came across an interesting website. The website is called GiftCardLab.com and they offer something Like No Other Gift Card – Visa Photo Gift Cards. Basically, you can use their designer and either pick out a pre-made design and use it for your Visa giftcard, or you can upload an image of your own to use on the giftcard. That means you can use things like logos of your kids’ favorite bands or just someones picture on it, which makes it alot more personal, like you took the time to create it and didnt just walk in a store and pick it up. I think I’m going to purchase a few of them as christmas gifts for various people in my family that are hard to buy for.

I’ve seen several people with pumpkins already out on their porches for Halloween. It seems like it’s a little early to be putting pumpkins out. Maybe it’s just me, but I usually put a pumpkin out around the first week in October. The pumpkins will just be eaten by squirrels and spoil if you put them out way too early. Seems like a waste. Why spend the money and put the pumpkins out when youre going to have to replace them 3 or 4 times before Halloween is even here?

My girlfriend and I went to visit her grandparents yesterday for Grandparents Day. They were pretty surprised to see us and it made them very happy. We took her grandmother 2 dozen roses and we stayed and had dinner with them. I watched the Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants football game with her grandfather while the women were in the other room talking about this and that, with the occasional outburst of laughter that could be heard throughout the house. It was a nice change of pace. Just relaxing and watching the game.
