Have you seen the Playstation 3 slim? It is truly a sleek and streamlined gaming system that everyone in the family would enjoy playing. You can pay close to $300 for one these but at least you are getting 250GB. And even if you want to upgrade your system, you only have to pay an extra $50 for features which would include musical, games and photos. To go along with this model are also a few reasonably priced games.
Buying New Shoes
I’ve been hinting to my wife that I wanted some comfortable shoes and to my surprise she came home one evening with a really nice pair of leather-grain from Dankso shoes. I slipped my feet in them and it felt like I was walking on a cloud. The shoe is also very durable and water and grease resistant. And with one wipe with a wet cloth, my shoes are clean. I definitely have to get a few more pairs.
Taking A Cruise
I work in sales at my job. I sometimes have to really work hard to make sales, but since I work on commission, I usually make more sales than many of my other co workers. My boss recently called me into his office and advised me that I was getting a bonus due to the high amount of sales I had made this month. I was so surprised. I first thought it was going to be a bonus, which would be nice. Instead, he offered me a cruise for myself and my family. He asked me where I’d like to take a cruise to. I had never been on a cruise so was unsure. He made me an appointment with a company that specialized in cruises and my wife and I went to it. We were so surprised how many different ones there was to pick from. We finally decided on a cruise to the Bahamas. Our children are also so excited and we will all be leaving in three weeks and will be gone on the cruise for seven nights. That was the best bonus I have ever received on any job I’ve worked at.
Kids Love Bean Bag Chairs
We let our children have other children over to spend the evening and also often the entire nights. Each one of our children only have one bed in their bedroom. We do have a guest room, but kids like to sleep in the same room. They just think it is so much more fun. When they are in their bedrooms watching television, they usually just lean back or lay down together on their bed to do so. Sometimes, they don’t like to be touched or so close to one another. We decided to shop for something that would fit in their bedrooms, where all the children would be comfortable. We were shopping and some bean bag chairs caught our eye. That seemed like just the answer to what we were looking for. The next choice was what color and size for each child. There are several different colors and sizes of bean bag chairs to choose from. We bought one for each child. Now, everyone seems comfortable during their time playing, watching television and also sleeping. We did not think they would actually want to sleep in bean bag chairs, but are noticing that they usually curled up and comfortable and even sleep in them, too. We feel like we have made a very wise decision and got them at a very reasonable price, too.
Keeping Warm With Heated Blankets
This year has been a very cold and brisk winter. It seems like our furnace has ran all the time. When I got my gas bill, it was much higher than usual. It was even higher than any month last winter. I was trying to figure out how to lower our bill and still stay warm. A friend of mine suggested that I buy a heated blanket. That is what his family uses. I went to the store and bought one for each one of us in our family. I have not got our gas bill since we all started using them at night. Since we are now turning our furnace down at night and using our heated blanket, I’m sure our gas bill will be much lower. I’m so glad he suggested this to me, as I’m sure it will help on heating costs.
Getting Started On Christmas Shopping
It doesn’t seem like Christmas should be here again so soon. Time is really just flying by. I’m starting to make little lists of what gifts I need to buy and who I need to buy them for. There are electronic gifts, sports gifts (sports gifts will probably be the majority, as I have lots of younger boys in the family to buy for), girly gifts and so much more that I need to start buying. Christmas is less than 2 months away. It seems like it just happened a couple of months ago. I just can’t believe how fast time is passing by.
Tons Of Candles
My girlfriend loves candles. Every time I turn around she is getting some new candles in the mail that she found for a good price online. Yesterday UPS delivered some new Votive candle holders and candles that she found on QuickCandles.com. She got a set of 144 candles, yes, I said 144, one hundred and forty four candles, for $25.00. I like having some extra candles for when the power goes out during really bad storms and that sort of thing, so I was proud of her for finding such a nice deal on bulk candles. I might have to place my own order for another couple sets.
I Love My 3CCD Video Camera
The best camcorder that I have ever owned or used has got to be my Panasonic PV-GS320. It’s a 3CCD video camera that uses MiniDV tapes. The quality is so clean and the colors are so vivid. I can’t believe this thing doesn’t sell for more. From everything I have read and seen about this camera, it’s about the best quality you can get without upgrading to a very expensive High Definition video camera. I would even compare the quality of the Panasonic GS320 to some of the High Def cameras that I’ve seen. I paid right at $380 for it brand new at Best Buy. I used a price match from a sale that Circuit City had going on. Best Buy’s price for it was over $500 at the time and the manager didn’t seem too happy that I was doing the price match. I ended up with a brand new 3CCD video camera, a 4 year warranty that covers the thing even if I drop it and it cracks in half, a nice Tripod and a carrying case, all for right at $500. I love this camera and I would recommend it to anyone shopping for a new video camera! To view video clips of PV-GS320, search YouTube for Panasonic GS 320. There is a PV-GS320 and an NV-GS320. The only different between the PV and the NV is NTSC/PAL. The PV is NTSC and the NV is PAL. Seems like they accidently got those model names switched around.
