A few weeks ago someone ran a stop sign and put a small ding in my rear bumper. I got out and went to exchange information with the guy and he informed me that he didn’t even have auto insurance. He begged me not to call the police and offered to let me follow him to the bank and he would get out $1,000 and give it to me for the damage. I was kind of leary to follow him. I mean, who has $1,000 they can just hand over, but they can’t afford car insurance? I told him to just get out of here and don’t worry about it. I can’t stand irresponsible people like that.

My sister recently picked up a life insurance policy on her son. She called several companies looking for the best term life insurance quote and she ended up finding a new life insurance company by looking on WholesaleInsurance.net. These days you really can’t afford to not have insurance on yourself and your kids. Funerals are so ridiculously priced. My mother has had a life insurance policy on my since I was about 10 years old.

One of the guys I know at work has been investing his money into various ventures for the past several years. He has seen a bit of profit, but nothing like he’s seeing now that he’s investing in online futures trading. He’s nearly got me convinced that I should start putting a little money into it and take a chance. I don’t know how my girlfriend would feel about me risking money like that, but I really think it would be worth a shot. We’ll see.

A friend of mine is getting ready to move to North Carolina. His job asked that he consider moving out there to head up one of the corporate offices for that region. At first he was a bit unsure about it, but after talking it over with his wife and thinking about the bump in pay and the position he would be gaining with the company, they decided it was a great move for his career and their financial future. He works for a NC health insurance company that also does business in other areas of the country. He’s pretty excited about moving to the home office.

I recently received my auto insurance bill in the mail. The premium had gone up twenty five dollars for a six month period. I was not very happy and could not understand why this was happening. I immediately got on the telephone and called my insurance agent. He said that everyones had gone up. I could not accept that reasoning, so I called a friend to see if his went up. He had insurance through a different company, so I thought I’d see how his company was handling theirs. He said actually that his had gone down. That is when I decided to compare auto insurance rates and coverage with different companies. I’m glad I did. I found a company that offered the same coverage and deductible, with a much lower rate. I had my insurance with the same company for many years. I never thought about changing, or researching others, because I never had any problems with the one I was with. Now, I am going to compare auto insurance at least once every year or so.

Last month, I was given notice by my boss that I was being transferred to a different state. I have a family, so this was a very major event for us. My wife had to change jobs, my children were having to change schools and we would also be moving away from our families. Even though I would have my job, my wife was worried about finding one that suited her and paid as much as she makes now. Luckily, we had 3 months before the transfer took place. We, first found a home to live in and took care of all that paperwork. The next step was helping my wife find a job. We were moving to Atlanta, Georgia. Neither of us had ever been there before. In searching for jobs in Atlanta, we were shocked to how many there were available. It only took my wife three and a half weeks and she landed a job that she loves. It was very much like the one she currently had, and also paid more than she was making before. We never realized how many jobs in Atlanta that there really were. We were amazed and happy at what we found. Our children also made lots of friends with our neighbors and loved their schools.

Lately I’ve been thinking bout investing into Wilmington NC real estate. A friend of mine tells me that the real estate in Wilmington North Carolina is going to go way up in value and that I should get in while I can. I don’t really have enough savings to really invest in anything major and I don’t know if I want to take out a loan or mortgage to do it. It seems like a very nice opportunity, though.

I’ve been calling around getting life insurance quotes from various life insurance companies and I think I’m ready to take out another policy. I don’t plan on anyone knowing about the new policy until I die and they get the papers for it. I’m thinking about going with a $200,000 policy, since I received a decent life insurance quote through a company that I did some computer work for. I just like the thought of my family being covered if something ever happens to me.
